Oxfordshire County Council will shortly be carrying out some essential works on the A4185 which require a series of road closures. Planned works include resurfacing on the carriageway and installing traffic signal equipment located in the carriageway.
Between Monday 9th December 2019 and Friday 20th December 2019, the A4185 will be closed, weeknights only, including Fridays, from 8pm until 6am, between Rowstock Roundabout (A4185 crossing Reading/Wantage Road) and Fermi Avenue (Harwell Campus). The diversion route is via Reading Road, Hagborne Hill, back onto the A4185 at Chilton Junction. Access will be maintained for residents south of Rowstock, between the roundabout and Curie Avenue.
Traffic management There will be no permanent traffic management installed during the day for this period, unless specific off-peak lane closures are required for unplanned/emergency works between 9.30am-3pm.
